October is National Arts & Humanities Month, and the Ridgefield arts community is kicking off a month-long celebration with a Cultural Festival showcasing arts and cultural resources in the area.
Join us on Saturday, October 2, from 10:00am to 5:00pm as we transform Ballard Park into an interactive, energetic artistic celebration. Spaces to accommodate booths will be available, giving artists and arts organizations the opportunity to demonstrate their classes, seminars, performances, lectures or other offerings. A stage at the Gilbert Street end of the park will be active with rotating groups of performers . . . singers, musicians, authors, dancers, actors and all are invited to join in the fun.
How can you participate? Reserve a space in the park.
Discover new audiences and enroll new students. We invite you to promote your events, host demonstrations, provide activities or teach a mini-class. Got another idea? Great, let’s get creative!
Registration fee for a ten-foot space to accommodate tables or a booth in Ballard Park is $35 for Ridgefield artists and arts organizations and businesses; $45 for those based in neighboring towns. Exhibitors will be responsible for their set-up, breakdown and materials (tables and chairs will not be provided). Stage a performance.
We’d like the stage to be active throughout the afternoon and encourage a variety of performances. Sing, dance, play, read or act – show off your stuff! (We request that all performances be family-friendly.)
Volunteer - We are looking for volunteers to help us to plan the festival. We are also looking for volunteers on October 2 to pass out programs, maps, surveys, answer visitors' questions about the event, sell t-shirts and refreshments, and encourage the public to contribute to the arts. Everyone who volunteers will be given a complimentary t-shirt.
Spread the word to your your colleagues, friends and family to join us!
How can you reserve your spot? To register, please complete the registration form and mail it to the address indicated.
